Dear Utah Wrestlers and Families:

Here is some important information that all kids and Cadets need to know. It is a great year for Utah wrestling, because the USA Wrestling Western Regional Championships are in Idaho and, for the first time ever, the USA Wrestling Kid National Championshiops are in Utah. It is important to pay attention to the details, so nobody misses out.

Registration for USA Wrestling-Utah State Championships in will all be online. No exceptions. TrackWrestling.com is the only way to get registered.  Registration will close the night before weigh-ins, and there will be regional weigh-in sites offered.  You must wrestle in at least one Utah tournament before the state tournament.  State tournaments will be offered in all three styles this year and will include all age divisions (even Open).  You must wrestle in and place in the top 8 to qualify for Western Regionals (kids and Cadets).  The Western Regionals will also host all three styles of wrestling and include Midget, Novice, Schoolboy and Cadet divisions. It will be held in Pocatello, Ida., and will be the third week of June.

If you want to go to Western Regionals, you must resister with the Utah Kids Director, Diane LaMont, at the USA Wrestling-Utah State Championships in April in person. You can't do this online and no late registrations will be accepted. All fees must be paid that day, all registration forms must be completed, and all clothing order forms must be filled out and paid for.

USA Wrestling Kids Nationals are at the McKay Events Center in Orem, Uta., this year. If you want to compete in the real nationals tournament, then you must wrestle in the USA Wrestling Western Regional Championships. You do not have to place, but you must compete. USA Wrestling Kids Nationals is only for the Midget, Novice and Schoolboy divisions and will be held on the week of Independence Day.
